FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How are my fresh truffles shipped?

We ship all orders via DHL Express Next Day Service (Monday to Thursday) from our depot in Bulgaria.

  • Orders placed after 3 PM (EST) on Thursday will be shipped the following Monday.
  • Sunday orders received after 9 AM (EST) will be shipped on Tuesday.

To ensure freshness, we ship truffles only with Priority Shipping.

Where are the truffles harvested?

  • 90% of our truffles are harvested in Bulgaria (Eastern Europe).
  • Black Winter Truffles (Tuber Melanosporum) are sourced from Croatia, Greece, Italy, or Spain.

What should I do after receiving my truffles?

Truffles are best enjoyed as fresh as possible to experience their full aroma and earthy flavor.

  • Consume them within two to three days after delivery for the best taste and quality.

How can I store my truffles for a longer time?

Proper storage is crucial to maintaining truffle quality:

  • Store your truffles at a temperature between 2–4°C in a refrigerator.
  • Avoid moisture: Wrap the truffles in clean tissue paper or place them in a breathable container.
  • Change the tissue paper daily to prevent moisture build-up.
  • Do not freeze your truffles: Freezing causes moisture accumulation and diminishes aroma.
  • Store truffles separately from other foods like rice or salt, which can absorb their aroma (unless you want to flavor these items).

What types of truffles do you sell?

We offer a wide selection of fresh truffles, including:

  • Black Winter Truffles (Tuber Melanosporum)
  • Burgundy Truffles (Tuber Uncinatum)
  • White Spring Truffles (Tuber Borchii)
  • White Alba Truffles (Tuber Magnatum) – prized for their intense aroma and rich flavor.
  • Black Winter Truffles (Tuber Brumale) – a robust and earthy delicacy.
